1,5 bln roubles for city water supply system modernisation

On June 22, a meeting of the Council of the Voronezh City Duma took place, during which the concessionaire for the project for the modernization and operation of the water supply and sanitation system in the city of Voronezh, OOO RVK-Voronezh, reported on the implementation of the investment program for the period from 2012 to 2018.

In March 2012 LLC RVK-Voronezh concluded a concession agreement with the municipal entity "City District Voronezh". Within the framework of the agreement, the concessionaire developed an investment program for the development of the water supply and sanitation system in the territory of Voronezh until 2024.

For this purpose, 1.47 billion rubles (~ 23 mln euro) have already been sent. Until 2018, the company plans to invest more than 1 billion rubles (15 mln euro). Among the key tasks: a comprehensive re-equipment of water-lifting stations with an investment volume of over 220 million rubles (~3,3 mln euro), reconstruction of the main left-bank reservoir - 400 million rubles (~6 mln euro).

In addition, RVK-Voronezh is carrying out a large-scale modernization of the aeration tanks of the Pravoberezhny sewage treatment plants with a total value of 300 million rubles (~4,5 mln euro). The works are carried out in two stages. The first stage allowed the introduction of the technology of nitrification and denitrification, which allows to purify sewage.

The implementation of the investment program has made it possible to improve the reliability of the water-canalization system, to reduce the accidents on the water supply networks by 45%, on the drainage networks by 18%, to reduce the energy consumption by 27%, and the water consumption by 15%.
