Reconstruction of sewage facilities in Moscow region

In the Moscow region in 2019, sewage treatment facilities will be renovated in the cities of Dubna, Lytkarino and Podolsk

During next five years, program “Protection of the Volga River” covers the reconstruction of 35 sewage treatment facilities with the introduction of modern technologies.

This was stated by the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of the Moscow Region Yevgeny Khromushin.

According to the official, the commissioning of the new USC will provide an opportunity to reduce the discharge of harmful effluents into reservoirs, which eventually end up in the Volga.

According to the regional minister, in 2019 she plans to reconstruct four treatment plants - in Dubna, Lytkarino and two in Podolsk. In addition, 11 projects will be completed. Another 26 objects will be reconstructed within four years.

At the same time, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, speaking on January 29 with an appeal to the residents of the Moscow region, said that in 2019, the design of 16 sewage treatment facilities would begin in the region.
